To all SSCS Cadets,
I would like to thank C/2dLt Carlos Rangel for his example of leadership, while he was at the helm of the cadet staff. I will continue to work to improve the organization and communication within the ranks of the cadets. We have a great group of cadets with exceptional Officers, NCOs and element leaders available to mentor the new cadets entering the program. These cadets have traveled the path before you and can give you tips and pointers to help you along your career in CAP. Their hard work and dedication continues to make this squadron one of the up and coming. I want to see the squadron continue to grow and improve in communication and organization.
Lately, I have noticed a decline in the number of cadets regularly coming to meetings. This may be due to summer vacations. However, it is important for cadets to show up for meetings and to stay involved in CAP activities. You will only succeed in Civil Air Patrol by participating in as many different activities as possible. In addition, it is important to read the email callout and bring the items listed. This is also a safety issue. If you come to PT without water and the proper footwear, you could become dehydrated and sprain your ankle. If you are not able to attend a meeting you should let your element leader know in advance, as a common courtesy.
I look forward to serving as your Cadet Commander,
C/2dLT Patrick Stack
